Monteloro, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Coffee grown at altitude ripens slowly, which specialty buyers associate with more complex flavor and brighter acidity.

Our coffee comes from the caficultor farms (fincas caficultoras) of Monteloro, in the mountains of Valle del Cauca. At about 1,800 meters above sea level, the cherry ripens slowly, and that is what gives this zone the conditions to produce a very good coffee: sweetness and complexity build in the fruit over a longer season.
Each farm delivers its harvest to the lot we offer. Ripe cherries are selected at picking, and every lot keeps its own farm, harvest date and documentation, so the data sheet you receive always matches the coffee you are buying.
